Why do I need to review the data?
PDFs are designed for printing, not data storage. They lack internal structure. While our AI is 99% accurate, "edge cases" like merged headers or invisible borders can confuse any system.
That's why we built the Data Editor. Instead of downloading a broken file and fixing it in Excel (which is painful), you fix it right here with purpose-built tools, saving you hours of frustration.
Is my confidential data safe?
Absolutely. We use ephemeral storage. Your uploaded PDF and the converted data are stored in a temporary, secure cache that auto-expires. Vertical deletion ensures no trace is left behind after your session is complete. We do not mine, view, or sell your document data.
Can it handle scanned images?
Currently, TableForge is optimized for "native" PDFs (files created digitally via Word, Excel, or accounting software). These contain selectable text which provides the highest accuracy. We are working on OCR (Optical Character Recognition) for scanned images for a future update.
How do Credits work?
Credits are used to export your refined data. One credit = one successfully forged document. You get 3 free credits just for signing up. You can purchase additional credits individually with our Pay-As-You-Go option, or upgrade to a Pro plan for 100 monthly credits. Credits never expire as long as your account is active.
What formatting does it keep?
We focus on the data structure (columns and rows). We intentionally strip away styling (fonts, colors, bolding) to give you a clean, raw Excel sheet that is ready for analysis, PivotTables, or import into other software.
